Field Notes / Migration

SproutLoud customers: your platform changed owners. Now what?

SproutLoud was acquired by Ansira in July 2024 and is being folded into a unified platform. A checklist for program owners watching it happen.

SproutLoud built its name on through-channel marketing automation for distributed brands. In July 2024 it was acquired by Ansira, on the same day as BrandMuscle, and that September the combined company announced one unified platform and brand. If your program runs on SproutLoud, its future is the integrated product.

What usually follows an acquisition like this

Consolidations run on integration logic: overlapping products merge, teams reorganize, and client programs migrate to the surviving platform on the acquirer's schedule. None of that is sinister. It is just worth naming that the migration will be real work for your team and your network, whenever it lands.

The checklist

  • Get the migration timeline for your program in writing, even if it is an estimate.
  • Inventory your customizations and confirm which carry over.
  • Test a full data export now: fund balances, claims history, assets, users and roles.
  • Check your contract for assignment and renewal terms under new ownership.
  • Price the alternatives while you have leverage: a renewal conversation during an integration is the best negotiating window you will get.

The ownership option

If you are migrating anyway, one of the destinations can be software you own: your program's rules built exactly, one fixed build fee, your network cut over once, and no next acquisition to watch.
